Main Purpose of the Role To develop and support integrations between business applications and B2B EDI. Key Responsibilities Develop integration services for various projects, mainly using Boomi middleware. Interpret functional specification documentation and also work directly with functional specialists to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions, contributing advice to overall solution designs and creating technical specification documentation. Adhere to specifications and standards set out by the Integration Platform Lead. Adhere to the IT project lifecycle, including quality assurance and testing of solutions and CAB approval before release. Work alongside other developers, providing mutual support. Deliver a consistent quality of code, minimising rework. Unit test all generated code and assist QA and project teams during testing phases of projects. Contribute to cutover planning and execution where required Provide documentation to submit to CAB. Carry out code deployments. Ensure all solutions are documented and that appropriate training and support documentation is provided to the IT Service Desk and application support team. Identify and escalate risks/issues/decisions to the Project Manager or Integration Platform Lead. Work with the Group Integration Lead to align with deliverables across the other regions to increase re-use. Investigate and resolve support incidents, suggesting improvements if possible. Works With Regional IT teams Integration Platform Lead Group IT Team Business Team Members 3rd Party Planners Knowledge Required 2 years’ development experience using Dell Boomi (or another major integration platform such as Mulesoft, Tibco, BizTalk etc). Experience in ERP integration, ideally with D365 F&O, for transactional and master data to/from other business applications. Experience in an IT role, working closely with a transactional ERP application – ideally D365 F&O and consumer goods/retail Order to Cash processes but similar would be considered. Example backgrounds could be as a developer in a different technology or perhaps in an application support, business analysis or EDI role, but with a strong technical bias and exposure to technical understanding, for example through involvement in trouble shooting or technical solution design. Knowledge of the development lifecycle. Knowledge of data types including XML, JSON, EDI. Understanding of networking and security principles. Skills & Qualifications Self motivated, enthusiastic to learn and quick to grasp technical conceptual understanding but also able to work with accuracy at a detailed level. Excellent oral and written communication skills, easily able to work in English. Able to estimate accurately and deliver to deadlines. Collaborative team working. Logical, process-orientated thinking. Confidence to challenge in an appropriate manner. REST, ODATA, SOAP. JavaScript, Groovy, XSLT, SQL. Developer Certification of an integration technology.
