Senior Software Engineer - up to £70,000 Discretionary Bonus - Remote with Occasional Travel to Manchester or London Our client, an award-winning legal firm, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge digital products. This role is integral to an innovation team, working closely with AI specialists to drive excellence across a suite of products, including upcoming projects to completely rebuild existing solutions into event-driven designs. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality, award-winning digital legal products. Drive innovation across the entire suite of solutions, working closely with the AI Centre of Excellence. Collaborate on upcoming projects to transform existing products into event-driven designs. Apply expertise in Microsoft technologies and loosely coupled architectures (microservices). Work with a dedicated architecture team to implement modern, scalable solutions. Step into a near-lead role, demonstrating senior-level experience and providing leadership support. Mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Guide scope estimation, work forecasting, and ensure adherence to coding, security, and architectural standards. Develop reusable software components for faster delivery and optimized performance. Prepare technical documentation and analyse software configurations to enhance business processes. Skills & Experience (Required): Strong expertise in full-stack development, specifically C# .Net and ideally Angular. 2 years in a senior developer role, working with microservices (loosely coupled architectures). Experience using Microsoft Azure for cloud-based development. Experience mentoring junior/mid level developers. Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders. Experience building APIs for both internal and external products.
