As a Lead Testing Engineer, you will be the QA champion within your squad—owning the testing strategy, shaping best practices, and mentoring fellow QA engineers. You’ll work closely with developers, business analysts, and DevOps to ensure robust, scalable, and testable solutions across front-end and back-end environments. What you’ll be doing: Act as Lead QA within an agile squad and support the team as a mentor and technical expert Build, maintain, and optimize Selenium-based automation frameworks (Java or Python) Integrate test execution into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins/Bamboo Implement BDD practices, defining and refining acceptance criteria Own testing across front-end, back-end, and data layers (UI REST APIs Databases) Work with event-driven systems and Kafka-based messaging architectures Contribute to performance testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or K6 Write SQL/NoSQL queries for data validation and DB testing Create scalable testing strategies that align with project and business goals What you bring: 8 years of experience in automation testing Strong proficiency in Selenium (Java or Python) 6 years working with CI/CD, Git, and DevOps tools Experience with UI and API testing, performance tools, and BDD frameworks Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven services, and database validation Confident mentoring other QA professionals and leading by example A proactive mindset with a passion for collaboration, innovation, and delivering quality Bonus: experience in the financial services industry Why join Fitch Ratings?
