What You Will Do
- Architect and scale robust data infrastructure systems that directly impact global climate solutions
- Design and implement efficient ETL pipelines using modern tools and frameworks
- Build and maintain critical API integrations for data ingestion from various sources
- Collaborate with world-class scientists and technologists across multiple disciplines
- Travel occasionally to project sites in Brazil to see your work's direct impact
- Contribute to the development of high-performance geospatial data processing systems
Ideal Candidate Background
- 3-5 years of software development experience, with expertise in data infrastructure
- Strong background in geospatial data management (GDAL, GeoPandas, PostGIS)
- Proven experience with Python and modern backend development
- Track record of building and maintaining ETL pipelines (SQL, DBT, Airflow)
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams
- Startup experience, particularly in rapid-scaling environments
- Passion for climate tech and environmental solutions
- Experience with FastAPI and cloud infrastructure
