As our company scales, we're in search of a Backend Engineer to join our expanding team. This full-time role is perfect for someone with over 5 years of experience, thrives in a dynamic environment, and shares our passion for sustainability. Reporting to the Software Manager and Chief Technology Officer, you'll be instrumental in providing technical expertise. The ideal candidate should possess strong proficiency in SQL, advanced backend coding skills, and a proven track record with at least one successfully deployed application in the market.

What You Will Do

• Develop robust backend systems and APIs for scalable web applications.
• Design and optimize database schemas, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Implement and maintain security best practices in web applications and backend services.
• Conduct unit tests, integration testing, and debugging to ensure system stability.

About You

• Strong expertise in SQL and familiarity with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
• Knowledge of web frameworks like Django (Python), Laravel (PHP), or similar.
• Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience in both frontend and backend development, with a specialization in backend and database systems.
• Proven ability to design database schemas, optimize queries, and ensure scalability and performance.
• Track record of building scalable systems handling large volumes of data and high traffic.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
• Meticulous attention to detail in writing clean, maintainable code and designing robust database architectures.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues, solutions, and progress effectively.
• Adaptability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
• Strong team player mindset, comfortable sharing knowledge and collaborating within a team environment.
