Director of Business Intelligence & Sales Support

Job Summary:
The Director of Business Intelligence (BI) and Sales Support will be responsible for leading the strategic and operational aspects of the company's BI function and Sales Support team. This role requires a visionary leader who can transform data into actionable insights and drive business decisions across departments. The Director will oversee, both formally and informally, functions that extract, create, and leverage the company’s data, manage relationships with internal stakeholders, and ensure seamless integration of BI tools, systems, and processes that empower data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization.
As a sales-driven organization, the Sales Support team is positioned to leverage the company’s data to create and deploy actionable insights to the business, automated workflow to ensure fast and accurate task execution, and track in-progress work to ensure results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and develop a BI team to support the growth of the company over time, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the Sales Support team, leveraging existing technologies (Zoho CRM, Zoho Projects, and Zoho Analytics) to improve the accuracy of operational data, workflow automation, and sales analytics to facilitate an excellent client experience.
- Design, develop, and train new or improved functions that rely heavily on the acquisition, manipulation, and documentation of business data to produce outputs.
- Define and execute the business intelligence strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
- Partner with key executives and department heads (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations) to understand their data needs and deliver strategic insights to support business growth.
- Champion a data-driven culture across the organization, advocating for best practices in data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of BI tools, dashboards, and reporting systems, ensuring they meet business needs and scalability requirements.
- Drive improvements in data quality, data governance, and data integrity across all platforms, inside and outside of BI.
- Evaluate, select, and implement new BI technologies and platforms to improve data analysis and visualization capabilities.
- Ensure the proper integration of BI systems with existing enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, HRIS).

Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Lead the development of automated reporting solutions to deliver real-time insights to business users.
- Design and execute data-driven analysis to identify business trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to build predictive models and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Provide regular reports and ad-hoc analyses to the executive team to inform strategic decisions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
- Understand the client experience and work with Sales Leadership to ensure the Sales Support team provides efficient and effective support, leveraging data and automation to drive execution of client-requested tasks.
- Translate complex technical data into easily understandable insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and accurate business insights.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence and analytics, identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Promote continuous improvements in BI processes, methodologies, and tools, ensuring the organization stays competitive in its use of data.
- Drive initiatives to optimize the collection, analysis, and distribution of data across the company.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Looker, or similar platforms.
- Experience with CRM tools, workflow automation, and operational processes that leverage data.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
- Proven track record of working with large datasets and implementing data-driven decision-making processes.
- Expertise in data visualization, reporting, and analysis techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align data insights with business objectives.
- Deep understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data security best practices.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of machine learning techniques and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
Working Conditions:
- In-office is preferrable, but remote candidates will be considered with the understanding that monthly travel to the Austin, Texas office will be required.
- Occasionally, additional travel may be required.
