Data Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in analyzing large data sets, developing data-driven insights and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Python and SQL, experience working with structured and unstructured data and a keen analytical mindset. Experience in the payments and/or FinTech industry is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns and insights that drive critical business decisions
2. Write optimized SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases
3. Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows using Python to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, create dashboards and provide actionable insights
5. Monitor and optimize data quality and integrity across various data sources
6. Utilize DataDog for monitoring and alerting on data processes and system performance
7. Assist in developing and automating reporting systems to improve efficiency and data accessibility

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related field, preferably within a FinTech and/or payments environment
2. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data meaningfully and creatively
4. Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders
6. Experience with AWS RedShift, Glue, DynamoDB, S3 and AppFlow
7. Familiarity with DataDog for data infrastructure monitoring

Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
