Application Development Architect/IT Section Leader

The Application Architect applies expertise in programming procedures to complex programs; recommends the redesign of programs, investigates and analyzes feasibility and program requirements, and often develops program specifications. Assigned programs typically affect a broad multi-user, multi-process, cross-platform environment. The Architect uses knowledge of technology and methodology tools, infrastructure, work processes, regulations and management practices to analyze business opportunities. Architects may function as sub-team leads for lower-level staff or may take on leadership roles in small to medium-sized initiatives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Successfully perform hands-on technical operations and activities to meet department objectives and consumer needs.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule assignments and projects with subordinates and participate in establishing project plans (strategic and tactical). Prioritize project plans based on business needs and availability of resources.
• Monitor project development and communicate project progression frequently to upper management, staff, and customers.
• Perform managerial activities (IE: Hiring, Performance Management Processes, Associate Development, Department Staffing, Budgeting, Communicating, and Enforcing Policies and Procedures). Determine specific resources and skills required for ongoing activities and provide leadership to staff on all projects within the area of responsibility.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• 7 or more years of Technical experience.
• Has solid experience as an Application Architect and has experience using DevOps tools.
• Has experience using Github, application development, Microsoft.NET, Java, JSP, and Database skills - SQL, etc.
• Strong skills in Linux, especially in Redhat.
• Have experience Managing people.
• Advanced knowledge of the IT field and in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in one specialty area.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong command of English.
• Ability to work flexible working hours as required on special occasions.
