You will develop and support our various SaaS (ASP.NET MVC) websites, services, and C# based applications. You will be taking on more challenging and complicated tasks as well as having greater responsibility within the software development design and review process. This is a full-stack role working with our Microsoft based development tools and technologies. The ideal Senior Software Developer will have 5 years of experience in software development working with ASP.NET MVC web applications & C#. You will ideally live on or near the Wirral and you will need to commute to our office in Hoylake. Senior Software Developer - Responsibilities Working on our existing SaaS platform developing new features, and maintenance. Ensuring quality standards are met and tasks are completed on time. Collaborate with team members to develop and innovate new features. Code reviews via pull requests. Contributing to technical specifications and documentation. Dealing with technical support issues, root cause analysis, and fixing bugs. Senior Software Developer - Personal Requirements Excellent communication skills, with an ability to present, discuss and, explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally. 5 years working experience in software development. Can manage and prioritise tasks with a sense of urgency. Ability to think creatively and propose options/solutions to challenges. Initiative-taking and able to work solo and collaborate with others. Ability to manage conflicting and changing demands at a short notice through prioritisation and a rational approach. Senior Software Developer - Required Skills Highly skilled in .NET, C#, JS, jQuery, CSS, and HTML. Web development experience using ASP.NET MVC, AJAX, and JSON. A strong grasp of databases & SQL queries using SQL Server, Entity Framework, LINQ. A great understanding of web services (REST, SOAP), and frameworks such as ServiceStack. Excellent UI/UX skills. Experience with source control management such as Azure DevOps & Git. Understanding of performance optimisations and bottlenecks. Senior Software Developer - Desirable Skills Experience with cloud-based IaaS platforms such as Microsoft Azure. Continuous integration or continuous deployment with pipelines. Relevant experience in software development for line-of-business or similar apps. Commercial experience of the compliance or financial services industries. Experience with test-driven development.
