Senior Network Support Engineer Location: City of London Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Benefits Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced Snr 3rd Line Support Engineer with a strong background in networking and server management? We want to hear from you Our client is a market-leading Managed Service Provider based in the heart of the city, and they are looking for someone to come into the business at a Snr level to take responsibility for their Networking. About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a dynamic IT team. In this role, you will provide expert-level support across our network infrastructure, manage server environments, and work closely with multiple clients to resolve complex technical issues. You will also play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of each client's system. Key Responsibilities: Provide 3rd line support for networking infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and DNS. Configure, manage and troubleshoot firewalls, particularly SonicWall and Meraki. Manage and support VPN connections, ensuring secure and reliable remote access. Oversee server environments, including RAID configurations and general server maintenance. Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, ensuring smooth operation and integration. Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues from the 1st and 2nd line support teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network improvements and new solutions. Perform regular system monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security. Key Skills & Experience: Extensive experience in 3rd line support with a focus on networking and server management. In-depth knowledge of firewalls (SonicWall, Meraki preferred) and VPN technologies. Strong understanding of DNS, server management, and RAID configurations. Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure environments is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
