We are looking for a 2nd Line Network Engineerto join our team; based in our ISOC (Intercitys Secure Operations Centre), to support the managed services customers networks using Intercitys system management toolsets and processes. As a Network Engineer you will provide second line support in the ISOC and ensure the continuous smooth operation of the network service. The hours of work are on a rota basis that covers 24x7x365. As a 2nd Line Network Engineer, you will be responsible for: Remote support and identifying issues affecting customers systems and services, followed by performing a 2nd line diagnosis with a view to resolution Be able to work without continuous supervision and be trusted to provide professional support services to Intercity customer To be able to self-educate and attain industry standard IT accreditation Liaise with clients to analyse, review, identify and develop relationships the meet/ exceed customer need Contribute to highest levels of prospect and customer satisfaction Make recommendations on improvements to Intercity services and service quality Key Skills and Experience: A minimum of one years experience providing security solutions in a technical support role CCNA or equivalent Be familiar with the primary function of networking equipment (e.g. Routers, Switches, Firewalls and wide area communications Awareness of some of the following vendor products; Check Point, Juniper, Cisco, Extreme, Aruba, Exinda Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills IT degree is desirable but not essential What we can offer you: 23 days holiday and a day off for your birthday (plus 8 days holiday in lieu of bank holidays), plus your entitlement will increase by one day for each full calendar year you are employed, up to a maximum of five days Annual pay review Holiday Buy Scheme All-company bonus scheme Death in service cover Employee assistance programme Company pension Active social calendar Strong focus on developing our people If you feel you have the skills and experience to become our new 2nd Line Network Engineer, then please click apply for this job today.
