12-month contract, 5x per week on-site in Mississauga, ON. Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Specialist to join a top aerospace client in Mississauga, ON. The successful candidate will support the development and validation of advanced diagnostic, prognostic, and health trend monitoring systems for various aircraft engine types, including Turboprop, Turboshaft, and Turbofan applications. This position is 5x a week onsite in Mississauga, ON. Key Responsibilities - Develop and validate automated systems for monitoring engine health trends. - Implement algorithms to track engine performance - Perform aero-thermodynamic cycle analysis and predict engine performance trends. - Analyze engine trend data to support performance, control, stress, and aerodynamic studies. - Investigate system-level issues related to engine design and operation. - Develop scripts, algorithms, machine learning techniques, and fault classification within a relational database. - Create and validate scripts and filtering techniques for accurate trend service delivery. - Develop aircraft utilization algorithms and performance monitoring tools for maintenance forecasting. - Develop and validate fault code and event detection algorithms for various engine types. Support dashboards and BI solutions for customer reporting Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Eligible to obtain a CGP (Controlled Goods) 2-3 years of engineering experience in aviation field Expertise in aircraft engine performance, aerodynamics sizing, cycle analysis, and preliminary design analysis. Strong programming skills in Python, C#, and C/C++. Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools like S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, Glue, and Redshift. Proficiency in databases: MS SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and software version control. Skills in code verification, configuration management, and translating business requirements into cloud solutions. Experience with statistical big data analytics and BI solutions. Compensation: $30/hr to $40/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, life insurance and AD&D. Employees will also have access to a registered retirement savings account with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
