The Role The Founding Product Engineer will take charge of the entire frontend development process. Working closely with the CTO, this individual will have substantial creative freedom to drive product improvements and feature development. The successful candidate will also be responsible for analyzing user behavior and data to make informed decisions about the product's evolution. Key Responsibilities Frontend Development : Lead the development of both mobile and web applications using React Native and React User-Centric Product Design : Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure user needs are met with high-quality, intuitive interfaces UI/UX Leadership : Build and maintain visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces with a strong attention to detail AI Technology : Contribute to integrating AI technologies, including prompt engineering and optimization Required Experience & Skills 2 years of frontend engineering experience , including experience in React Native Skilled in JavaScript , ideally with knowledge and experience using TypeScript and GraphQL Expertise in React and React Native frameworks A solid understanding of or interest in learning Android and iOS native code Experience with frontend testing frameworks Backend experience in Node.js , NestJS , and SQL is a plus Familiarity with cloud services like AWS and version control with GitHub Team Leadership & Collaboration Supervise and mentor other frontend engineers, helping them develop professionally Ensure best practices are followed within the frontend team and oversee code quality through regular reviews Collaborate closely with the CTO as well as the rest of the tech team to ensure continuity Tech Stack Frontend : React Native, React, Redux, TypeScript, Backend (nice-to-have): Node.js, NestJS, SQL, AWS, DevOps Ideal Candidate Characteristics Proactive : You’ve demonstrated initiative by creating solutions to complex problems Product-Oriented : You have a strong sense of product design, focusing on building features that always deliver an excellent user experience Data-Driven with Creativity : You use data to make decisions but aren’t afraid to trust your instincts and think outside the box AI Enthusiast : You’re curious about AI and have already experimented with it in your projects Benefits Competitive salary with performance bonuses 33 days annual holiday Yearly company retreat Complete ownership over frontend development in a fast-growing startup Bi-monthly feedback and personal development support Flexible location, with a London base and remote work option This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven engineer who’s ready to take the next step in their career and help shape the future of a disruptive startup.
