Job Title: Software Engineer Location: Remote (Occasional travel to London, Cheltenham or Manchester) Type: Full Time Salary: Up to £60,000 (depending on experience) Our client, a leading company in the field of secure collaboration solutions, is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. They specialise in creating scalable, secure solutions for highly security-conscious organizations, enabling seamless and secure collaboration on sensitive information. Job Description: As a Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and developing reliable and secure software systems. You will work closely with a distributed team of talented engineers to deliver solutions that meet the stringent security needs of our client's customers. The ideal candidate is adaptable, curious, and motivated to engineer outstanding solutions. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and develop secure and scalable software systems. Contribute to improving team working practices and the organization's software engineering processes. Consider the user experience at every step, from understanding requirements to delivering the solution. Take ownership, with the team, of software systems from conception and development through to live operation and decommissioning. Continuously evaluate and improve team delivery methods. Stay updated with the latest technologies and be willing to experiment with new approaches. Support and mentor junior team members as required. Required Skills and Experience: Strong experience with at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Java, Spring Frameworks. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes. Understanding of the impact of engineering decisions on security posture. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Experience working in a distributed team environment. Must be a British national and eligible for security clearance. Nice to Have: Experience with Python, Langchain, GitLab CI, or Pulumi. Familiarity with databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j, or Elastic. Benefits: Competitive salary, up to £60,000 (depending on experience). Flexible working hours and remote work options.
