Position Summary Illumina is seeking a Staff Teamcenter Architect responsible for defining Teamcenter architecture across client, cloud, or enterprise thru industry best practices to fulfill stakeholder and business needs and organizational goals. The individual should be able to build, implementation, and support of Illumina's Global PLM (Teamcenter). The role will also be responsible to manage and co-develop Teamcenter PLM solutions along with integrations to other enterprise systems. Responsibilities include analyzing business need, gathering business requirements, leading solution design teams, implementing solution(s), and recommending best practice methods. San Diego location strongly preferred. Responsibilities Recommend design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the PLM application, protocols, and algorithms. Identifies functional and system specifications that meet business user requirements, maps them to systems capabilities and recommends technical solutions Configures system settings and options, plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing, and creates systems specifications. Collaborates with management, product owners, and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Examines current business procedures, system practices and IT modification design and recommends new improved ones. Anticipates complex issues and discusses within and outside of PLM team to maintain open communication. To work closely with Business, Developers and support them for deriving estimates, developing prototypes, and implementing quality solutions. Coordinate support activities and identify solutions for complex business solutions and system architecture. Design integrations in line with the system footprint within the organization. Leading a team of 5 to 10 members and Project management tools experience is also required Strong written and communication skills and cross functional team collaboration Requirements Sound understanding of latest Teamcenter(TC 14 or later) architecture, features, application interface framework like T4S, T4EA including multi-CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP interface. Excellent Teamcenter Solution Designing for both Client, Server, and integration with third-party applications such as ALM, ERP, LMS, MES, etc., Thorough understanding of Teamcenter n-tier architecture, Data Model, BMIDE, and other configurations Experience in Teamcenter modules such as Workflow Designer, Query Builder, Structure Manager, MPP, Change Mgmt., Document Management, etc., Excellent programing skills in TCL, Java, C++, and Teamcenter client, server customization, Teamcenter services customization, and SOA client development Experience in Teamcenter to ERP (SAP/Oracle/JDE) integration using the T4S/T4O/T4EA framework. Experience in implementing T4S/T4O for Global organizations to support Material, BOM, Doc, Vendor, BOP transfer. Experience in developing integrations using web services/ 3rd party middle wear between Teamcenter and other enterprise apps such as LMS, S4 HANA, Veeva RIMS, OpCenter, etc., Experience in developing PLM (Teamcenter) - ALM (Jira, Jama, Polarion, IBM Doors, etc.) integrations Experience in data migration activities and ETLV process Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience in addressing day-to-day integration issues. Gather requirements, Create solution proposals and specification documentation. Basic problem-solving/Analytical skills in Application issues, Root cause analysis, and Configurations. Good understanding of the Software development process (Agile), Verification and Validation process Effective communication & resolve end-user issues on a day-to-day basis and with other IT Teams as needed. Experience & Education 10 years of experience in designing and developing solutions with Teamcenter 4 Years of experience in Teamcenter Server side and Active Workspace Customizations 2 years of experience as an Architect in mid-large sized Organization Preferred - Working experience in Medical devices / Hi-tech industry Bachelor's degree in Computers/electrical/mechanical Eng or related field The estimated base salary range for the Teamcenter PLM Architect role based in the United States of America is: $115,800 - $173,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual's qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
