Virtual Point of Sale (vPOS) SME Location: London, UK Rate: £600.00 per day inside IR35 Duration: 12 months About the Role: A leading online travel and payment solutions company is seeking a Virtual POS SME to support the launch and operational implementation of its Virtual POS (vPOS) product. While the commercial team leads discovery, this role sits within the Partner Payments team and focuses on ensuring a seamless rollout of vPOS for small and medium-sized merchants. This is a business and product operations role that requires deep knowledge of online payments, acquirers, and operational processes. It is not an implementation or process management role but a critical function in driving execution and operational success. Key Responsibilities: Own the launch process of Virtual POS within the company, ensuring smooth onboarding of acquirers and PSPs (covering KYC, compliance, and operational readiness). Collaborate closely with internal commercial, product, and operational teams to drive execution. Define and optimize the go-to-market strategy, onboarding flows, and operational processes for vPOS. Provide expertise on rail merchants and pure online payments (no offline payments). Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional teams, aligning commercial, regulatory, and technical aspects. What You Bring: 8-10 years of experience in online payments, with a mix of product and operational expertise. Background in consulting, ideally working with SME merchants, acquirers, and payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen). Strong understanding of payment rails, operational flows, and merchant onboarding. Hands-on approach with a process-oriented mindset—focused on execution rather than product development. Experience managing stakeholders across business, compliance, and technical teams. RegTech and compliance knowledge is a plus but not required.
