Head of Information Technology & Informatics

We are currently looking for a Head of Information Technology and Informatics to join a leading biotechnology company based in Cambridgeshire (hybrid / remote working supported but travel required between organisation’s offices.) As the Head of Information Technology and Informatics, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team and driving innovative solutions that will significantly impact the business. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Your duties as the Head of IT and Informatics will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Taking a technical lead and motivating a diverse team that includes developers, data scientists, and engineers that support R&D, internal, customer-facing, and hardware production environments. 2. Develop relationships with stakeholders across different departments internally as well as externally to identify, prioritise and deliver on business needs. 3. Provide technical advice, communicating effectively, complex technical concepts to all audiences. 4. Prioritise conflicting demands effectively, consulting with key stakeholders to manage the overall workload of the team. Role Requirements: To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Head of IT and Informatics we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) whilst demonstrating leading across technical fields such as software engineering, data science, embedded systems, IT. 2. Proven industry experience in leading a technically diverse team. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with software engineering, data science, and IT.
