We are looking for a Principal Enterprise Architect who will be influencing key strategic decisions for the IT organization by working directly with VP and SVP and enabling architectural governance and enterprise vision activation. The Principal Enterprise Architect is a highly visible role that demands a proven expertise in defining, upholding, and communicating the Business and Information Technology Architecture that supports the company’s vision and strategic intent. Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to: The Architect is expected to influence the organization and work independently with senior business and Information Technology executives while acting as a mentor and role model. Promote the Enterprise Architecture processes, outcomes, and results to the organization, including the enterprise’s Information Technology and business leaders. Advise multiple areas; make recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance. Provide strategic advice and guidance to segment and shared services teams. Provide guidance to associates from basic to complex tasks and projects. Influence decisions that have high impact. Consult with domain teams to fit domains to architecture, as well as to identify when it is necessary to modify the planned architecture to accommodate domain needs. Create and maintain documentation of all architecture design and analysis work. Participate in the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the Enterprise Architecture. Contribute to the creation of governing principles to guide Enterprise Architecture decision making. Devises new methods/procedures using strong analytical and inductive thinking. The Architect’s skills and knowledge must span multiple architecture domains (e.g., Business Architecture, Application/Solution Architecture, Technical/Infrastructure Architecture & Information/Data Architecture) to ensure balanced solutions. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 10 years of IT experience 3 years of people management experience, leading by engagement, empowerment, continuous feedback, and coaching Demonstrated experience in hands-on software development and solution architecture Hands-on experience in a public Cloud environment or Cloud transformation Demonstrated success in a matrix-managed, cross-functional, and collaborative organization Prior experience managing large multi-technology teams and being responsible for the execution KPIs, OKRs and timelines Passionate about both healthcare and enterprise architecture practices Knowledge of the quality-centric culture and principles Ability to communicate to both very technical audiences as well as presenting complex technical designs to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in IT-relevant discipline Highly preferred any Cloud specialist certification Familiar with application and workload dependencies, architecture, and service level requirements Understanding of project and program management standards and methods Salesforce background is highly preferred Additional Information Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Remote/WAH requirements: WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense. A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role. A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $153,500 - $211,300 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
