We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Sales Engineer. ● Truro or Halifax, Nova Scotia Expectations The Sales Engineer is a detail focused, enthusiastic individual with a strong sales drive who can understand and provide the best technical solutions for our customers’ requests from product integration to creating new and innovative solutions. They are a team player who brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a strategic outlook to the role. Our ideal candidate possesses ocean acoustic experience and can earn the customer’s trust while solving their technical challenges. At a high level, the critical outcomes for success in this role are: ● Business Development – with new and existing customers ● Technical Solutions – solving problems for customers from simple to very complex. ● Communications – acting as the bridge between customers and engineers. ● Customer Relations - instructing customers on best practices for the use of products. Technical Proficiency • Develops a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the products or services we are selling. Able to explain complex technical concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-technical clients. Sales Acumen • Understands the sale process, identifying opportunities, and effectively closing deals. Able to demonstrate the value of their technical solutions in a way that aligns with the customer’s business goals. Customer Relationship Management • Understands customer needs, providing ongoing support and ensuring customer satisfaction. Is customer-focused and capable of nurturing long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals. Skills, Qualifications and Key Accomplishments • Electrical engineering degree • 1-2 year in sales environment • Strong computer skills: MS Office and cloud-based tools • Valid driver’s license and passport • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; second language an asset • Manages time, priorities, and meets deadlines. Nice-to-haves • 2-3 years’ working in a technical environment
