The IT Consultant (TC) is responsible for bringing a high level of Information Technology (IT) expertise to projects, and is the point of contact for complex IT discussions. The IT consultant will install and configure Omnicell IT solutions in customer environments. The IT consultant will also be responsible for integrating Omnicell products into customer environments, including development of required interface solutions to 3rd party systems, owning the technical relationships with customers and partners. Involvement also includes Proof-of-Concept and Pilot projects, cooperating with the Sales, Marketing and Product Management departments to develop the overall solution strategy. This role covers the International division, which includes all regions outside of the USA. Responsibilities Understand Omnicell customer IT requirements to define adequate answers to queries (including official tender requests) Develop technical IT architecture proposals based on each customer’s requirements Custom Applications experience with a heavy focus on C#, as well as a deep understanding of Windows Server platforms. Develop interfaces (required and optional) with Omnicell solutions and customers’ third party systems Install, configure and upgrade Omnicell systems including servers and cabinets Manage partner relationships for technical and interface development Escalations from internal team members Standardise and productise customer responses based on already delivered answers Understand and prioritise interoperability requirements Develop understanding of IT drivers, including customer’s drivers and regulation evolutions for his/her region As required, support commercial teams by presenting IT architectures to customers As required, bring broad IT expertise consulting to sales, implementation and service during presales and post sales activities As required, participate to interface strategy discussions with his/her international peers, product management and engineering As required, contribute to messages and value proposition adjustments with Solution marketing Relational network Develop close relationships with commercial organizations and partners/suppliers Develop close relationship with other Omnicell organization, internationally Interface to global product management for roadmaps for IT subjects Personal characteristics Excellent team player Strong results-orientation, commercial acumen and customer centric mindset Excellent presentation and communication skills (oral, writing, presentations) to interface with customers Project/program management capabilities Serviceable attitude Strong sense of responsibility, ownership and discipline Strong self-drive; eager for results Willing to be a “doer” Ability to influence and coach Qualification/Experience Master equivalent in IT Expertise in IT technologies (network cybersecurity, cloud architecture, data intelligence/analytics, database-MSSQL, …) Experience in Healthcare IT technologies, Pharmacy or clinical systems (EMR, EHR, EPMA, P2P, JHX) Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process Knowledge of IT in presales contexts Experienced in large projects deployments Knowledge of healthcare standards (IHE profiles, HL7), workflows and global healthcare environment. Fluent in English other language skills are of great asset (e.g. German, French or Spanish) Willingness to travel 20-30% of time for customer or internal meetings
