PLEASE NOTE: This role is based in a rural area close to Stonehenge - with no public transport links. There is an expectation to be on-site for 1-2 days each week. The Data Insight and Reporting Team is at the forefront of strategy, architecture, engineering, support, and maintenance of data solutions, aligning with client requirements, business objectives, and the Information and Technology strategy. Your new role They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Analyst to join the Information and Technology team. This role is pivotal in recognising the importance of data and delivering meaningful operational and commercial business insights to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of the organisation. As a key member of a small but growing team, you will bring your expertise in data analysis and reporting, along with the necessary processes, tools, and solutions. Key Responsibilities: Analyse and interpret complex data sets to provide actionable insights. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Microsoft Power BI. Collaborate with senior business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data governance. Support the design, development, and maintenance of data solutions. Assist in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive business improvements. Stay updated with best practices in data analysis and reporting. What you’ll need to succeed Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in data analysis and reporting. Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI and other data visualization tools. Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Quality best practices and relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office. Desirable Skills: Experience working with MoD contracts. Experience with data warehouse solutions like Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics or Snowflake is highly desirable. Understanding of modern business processes where asset management and work management are key. Knowledge and experience with the ArcGIS toolset.
