Cybersecurity Architect

Cybersecurity Architect Client: Energy Role: Cybersecurity Architect Duration: 5 months plus very likely extension. Location: Calgary (Hybrid) Our client, a recognized energy infrastructure company is looking to hire a Cybersecurity Architect for a 5-month contract. Enhancing the proactive identification of potential threats targeting Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Maintaining the environment: Update Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and endpoint applications to the most current, vendor recommended versions. Your New Role With limited support from In-house ME, gain a quick understanding of Trellix environment and current deployment. Rapidly develop an understanding of ICS environment and required change management requirements. Provide recommendations on proposed ePO and Endpoint upgrades, configuration changes. Provide recommendations on new functionality and potential use (note enabling new functionality is not currently in scope). Provide recommendation on possible upgrade approaches, with identification of pros and cons. Responsible for the technical upgrade tasks on ePO and Endpoint upgrades (note any work required on Endpoint devices, ex deploy new agent, is completed by separate resources). Responsible for testing, analyzing test results, completing configuration changes across the environments (test, qual, prod), including testing of Endpoint agents (upgrade, new Linux agent, etc.). Responsible for troubleshooting within the Trellix environment, and coordination with other SMEs for related systems (endpoints, firewalls, etc.). Provide guidance on process / procedure / SOP changes for more streamlined management of the environment. What You’ll Need to Do to Succeed: 5 years of Trellix Endpoint Protection architecture and deployment expertise, as a Solution Architect and/or specialist. Expertise on functions, limitations of ePO configuration (specifically the targeted versions is preferred). Deep understanding of Trellix Endpoint Security and ePO. Experience with analyzing and setting policies in ePO. Experience in configuration, deployment and upgrades of ePO. Experience in configuration, deployment and upgrade of Trellix agents for both Windows and Linux OS. Experience with troubleshooting a complex Trellix environment with multiple ePOs and hundreds of endpoints. This environment may include firewalls, servers and other network devices. Experience in setting up and conducting tests to ensure that Trellix infrastructure deployment does not adversely impact network performance. Experience with deployments in an Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment with multiple separate business units, PERA Levels and critical SCADA systems.
