AWS DevOps Lead (Must have prior Networking exp. Client – Trade Union Job Title – AWS DevOps Lead Job Type – 6 months (possible extension or conversion to perm) Location – 100% Remote (EST hrs) or Hybrid in Ottawa Your new company Our client is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Lead to join the team. They are committed to driving forward with cutting-edge projects and technologies. Your new role As the AWS DevOps Lead, you will oversee and manage AWS services, lead Linux upgrades, develop base builds, design and manage CI/CD pipelines, and simplify patching processes. You will also drive work and act as a lead, demonstrating strong project management skills to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Additionally, you will manage some small projects including but not limited to Zoom and Zoom Phone Chat deployments and utilize your network experience to enhance the infrastructure. What you'll need to succeed Proven experience in AWS infrastructure management and Linux upgrades. Solid network experience. Strong understanding of EC2, RDS, and code pipelines. Demonstrated ability to simplify and automate patching processes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and drive work. Experience with Zoom and Zoom Phone Chat deployments is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
