Application Architect Client: Not for Profit Org Role: Application Architect Job Type: Contract (6 month) Location: Remote in GTA Your New Company Our client, a very well-known not for profit client looking to hire Application Architect. Your New Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Application Architect with expertise in both TOGAF and AWS . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, documenting and implementing enterprise architecture solutions that align with our business goals and technology strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of architecture frameworks and AWS cloud computing. Responsibilities: • Design scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS. • Document existing systems and architecture to ensure accurate and up-to-date records. • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks using TOGAF standards. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical documentation and solutions. • Lead the migration of complex, multi-tier applications to AWS. • Implement cost-control strategies and optimize cloud resource usage. • Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed in all architecture designs. • Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improvements. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and AWS services. • Utilize Sparx EA or similar EA tools for modeling and documenting enterprise architecture. What You’ll Need: • Proficiency in .NET technologies. Must have strong hands on .Net development experience to be able to read and understand code. • Must have - AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect). Prefer TOGAF certification (e.g., TOGAF 9.2 or TOGAF 10). • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and cloud computing. • Strong understanding of networking, security, and database services in AWS. • Experience with Big Data technologies and frameworks. • Experience with Sparx or other professional EA tools. • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. • Ability to influence and lead changes, maintaining collaborative and trusted relationships with stakeholders. • Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies. • Excellent judgment, critical thinking skills, and strong decision-making skills. • Good communication skills • Excellent writing, technical writing, presentation and verbal communications skills. • Attributes: Self-starter, Self-learner, friendly, adaptive, collaborative, organized, creative/ingenious What You’ll get in Return The client is offering a 6-month contract engagement, with a likelihood of extension.
