FOUNDING BACKEND ENGINEER LLM STARTUP BROOKLYN, NY (ONSITE) $200,000 - $250,000 BASE THE COMPANY Harnham is partnered with a cutting-edge startup in the technology space looking to ease the burden of LLM development and deployment. They are seed-funded and looking to hire multiple founding engineers across various pieces of their stack. This role will focus on backend development in Rust. THE ROLE – Founding Backend Engineer This position will report directly to the CTO and completely own the design and development of this company’s backend. You will work with ML and Frontend Engineers to develop a performative and scalable, AI-integrated applications. Further responsibilities include: Leading the design and architecture of their backend Working with a team building at a high rate of speed where being able to operate autonomously is a must Open-source infrastructure Focusing on optimization, evaluation, observability, and integrations Dealing with massive amounts of data SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Extensive experience in Rust Experience working at a high rate of speed Backend design and development from 0-1 Comfort working in an evolving, dynamic space where you’ll need to wear multiple hats. Must be able to work in their Brooklyn office 5 days a week THE BENEFITS As a Founding Backend Engineer, you will receive a base of up to $250,000 SIGNIFICANT equity.
