Established in 2018, Harbor.ai is Venture-backed and based in New York. About the Role: We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team to design and build scalable systems and APIs. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust backend solutions while ensuring high performance and reliability. This role is 100% on-site at our Corporate Headquarters in New York City. Required: 3 years of backend software development experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) Experience with Docker and Kubernetes Proven track record building and maintaining APIs Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field Experience with microservices and distributed systems Knowledge of serverless architectures Experience with high-scale data processing systems What You'll Do: Design and implement backend services and microservices Build and maintain APIs for internal and external consumption Lead code reviews and maintain engineering best practices Own incident response and resolution Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies Optimize system and database performance Create and maintain technical documentation Debug production issues and implement solutions Tech Stack: Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud Containers: Docker, Kubernetes CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions Infrastructure: Terraform, CloudFormation Please note that any emails from recruiters will be printed, then ceremoniously disposed of.
