Back End Developer

Backend Developer We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with exceptional expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and C#. This position is a long-term remote contract for our esteemed client based in Portland, Oregon (USA). Our client works in the healthcare insurance sector and is market leader. A significant bonus would be your experience in the insurance sector, particularly with insurance claims. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain sophisticated software systems. Gain in-depth knowledge of business and system functionalities. Apply system expertise to diagnose and resolve intricate problems. Conduct requirements analysis, design, peer reviews, and documentation. Provide accurate effort estimates and identify potential risks. Implement sound software engineering processes, including iterative development, unit testing, source code control, inspections, and reviews. Stay updated on technology trends and adhere to industry best practices. Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in .NET/C#. Strong relational database skills, including SQL, stored procedures, and database architecture (MSSQL 2008 or higher). Microsoft SQL expertise. Exposure to Azure DevOps. Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles. Self-directed, analytical, adept at problem-solving, with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality products within tight deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer. 6 years of experience in .Net, C#. 6 years of experience with MS SQL Server 2008 or higher. Preferred experience with MVC, Angular, JavaScript, HTML. Exposure to Cloud Development is advantageous. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
