The care of these patients is primarily focused on post-operative recovery and providing complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring. Nurses must exhibit high levels of professional competency. CSU is an 8 bed stepdown unit. The stepdown unit focuses on the care and recovery of patients after cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery.
