Machine Learning Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer | Research Platform: We are a tier 1 supplier for a well-known buy-side quant firm on the lookout for a Machine Learning Engineer (£475,000-£515,000) who is happy to work at the interface of cutting edge Machine Learning Modelling, Quantitative Research and HPC Systems Engineering. You will be a key player in developing core systems to support the training and deployment of large-scale machine learning models that impact decision making in the front office directly. The successful candidate will collaborate with traders, hardware experts, and software engineers to develop robust solutions that maximize the potential for advanced algorithms as the client scales. Key Competencies: The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience with real-time, low-latency ML pipelines in high-performance environments. They should possess strong engineering skills, including expertise in Python, CUDA, or C++. They should also have knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in GPU programming for training and inference acceleration. They should also have experience with distributed training for scaling ML workloads, utilizing tools like Horovod.
