Role purpose In this exciting new role, you will play a pivotal part in harnessing the power of data, transforming it into the actionable insights which will drive GB Banks success. You will work closely with key partners and stakeholders, identifying and effectively managing the critical data assets required to further develop GB Banks MI capability, in addition to ensuring accuracy of regulatory reports. You will provide comprehensive and informative visual data insight reports for senior management and the Board, which will assist in strategic decision making. In this role you’ll find yourself… The post holder will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insight. This will be achieved in various ways: By managing and maintaining GBBs data warehouse ensuring that it is running smoothly, monitoring system performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations on necessary changes to optimize system performance. You will also process, clean, and integrate data sets from various sources into the warehouse, completing the necessary checks to ensure that the data is accurate, complete, and consistent and have the ability to trace and remediate data quality issues. You will work with key stakeholders within GBB to identify the scope of reports required to provide management insight and meet the regulatory requirements of a financial organisation. You will have significant experience of Power BI, from which you will create informative visual MI reports for senior management and Board. Reporting will also include benchmarking against historical data, industry peers and market data to assist in strategic decision making. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in influencing stakeholders at various organisational levels by supporting and interpreting data needs into tangible solutions and outcomes. You will work effectively alone and as part of the broader GB Bank team, ensuring GB Banks values are evidenced in your day to day work and interactions with others. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, planning and managing own workload. A bit about you – You are/will have most of the following: You are passionate about Data & Analytics, and you want to continue to develop your expertise in this domain. You know how to collect and interpreting data to understand the needs, pain points and realities and are able to support the design, development and delivery of MI governance models across the bank to enable effective oversight of the deliverables. You can analyse results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports, work closely with stakeholders to define, design, and build of MI suite for managing and reporting on business needs via PowerBI and a “self serve” approach to the data warehouse. You are comfortable analysing patterns and trends in data sets: Interpret, work with, and present data, with a comprehensive understanding of reporting processes, systems, and MI, including data completeness, validations, and mappings. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse large datasets and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Evidence of working closely with the management team to prioritize business and information needs for data. Assisting with preparation of documents, reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other mainstream analytics software. You have a keen interest in the Financial Services market. You make yourself regularly aware of latest Data & Analytics trends and solutions.
