Lead Data Engineer Role (Java, Python, Scala, Spark, SQL, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka) - Leading SaaS based Company / Transportation Industry - Guildford - Fully Onsite 5 days per week - £70,000 - £80,000 DOE G.R.E. Recruitment is delighted to yet again partner with this leading SaaS based company in the transportation industry to support them with the hire of a Lead Data Engineer. This role is fully onsite 5 days per week so all candidates must live commutable to Guildford on a daily basis. They work alongside some of the biggest names in the transportation industry in the UK and some in Europe. For this role I am looking for someone who is experienced with creating data warehouses/lakes and building data pipelines to support the development of dashboards and analytics activities by the data team. You'll be someone who has previously worked as a Data Engineer and have experience in developing using big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and Hive, have technical expertise in data models, data mining and segmentation techniques. Technically you'll have experience of Java, Python, Scala, Spark and SQL and should have a deep understanding of data science and statistical concepts.
