Position Overview The Manager, Data & Analytics plays a crucial role in overseeing FA’s internal member data processes and supporting internal systems, ensuring quality, timeliness, and efficiency in meeting the organization’s data and reporting needs. We’re looking for a motivated and innovative Manager, Data & Analytics, to lead our operational data initiatives, optimize workflows, and support strategic business needs through advanced analytics. This is a full-time permanent position. It requires work from the office a minimum of 2 days per month. Key Responsibilities: Data & Business Process Management: Oversee and coordinate data and business process workflows managed by the Operational Data team, ensuring timely delivery of insights. Plan and manage the team’s deliverables and timelines, identifying and resolving issues as they arise. Provide guidance to team members and act as backup support when required. Operational & Strategic Initiatives: Support the development and implementation of complex models and processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, propose solutions, and oversee execution. Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities, implementing changes, and optimizing efficiency. Subject Matter Expertise & Team Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on Facility Association’s operational data, processes, and systems. Develop and maintain documentation for business processes, systems, and data flow. Lead, coach, and develop a small team to achieve FA’s objectives. Organize and plan the team’s schedule and work activities. Prepare meeting materials and submissions as needed. Qualifications: Education: University degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field. Additional certifications in data analytics or related disciplines are an asset. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry. Experience in Property & Casualty insurance, large-scale automobile insurance data analysis, and familiarity with GISA data and exhibits is an asset. Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Python/R) and database management (SQL, VBA). Experience developing ETL workflows and interactive dashboards. Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively. Experience in business system change processes, project management, and technology transformation projects is an asset. Previous experience leading or overseeing a team is an asset. Technical & Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across various levels. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
