Senior System Administrator / 3rd Line Engineer (SC Cleared) Duration: 12-month initial contract Location: Remote Rate: £550 - £600 - INSIDE IR35 Start Date: ASAP Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required Company Overview: Our client is a prominent government agency known for their cutting-edge work in the field of marine geospatial data and technology. They provide essential services that support maritime navigation, safety, and environmental protection. With a commitment to innovation and excellence, they are recognised as a leader in their sector. They are currently looking for a skilled Senior Systems Administrator / 3rd Line Engineer to join their IT team and play a key role in maintaining and enhancing their critical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: 3rd Line Support: Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for complex issues across the client's hybrid IT environment. Providing 3rd Line technical expertise and support to other technical Operational teams and Project Teams as required. User Support: Assist in 1st/2nd/3rd line support as needed, helping to diagnose and resolve user issues promptly and efficiently. Server & Cloud Administration: Manage and maintain Windows Servers, Azure environments, and related infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. Conducting complex configuration/installation and reconfiguration of server, storage, and communications platforms for business-as-usual changes or projects as required. ITIL & Service Delivery: Operate within an ITIL framework, ensuring that all support activities align with service delivery best practices and standards. Technical Skills Required: Windows Server Administration: Expertise in managing and maintaining Windows Server environments. Hyper-V Virtualisation: Proficiency in working with Hyper-V for virtualisation and managing virtual machines. Azure Administration: Experience with administering Azure cloud services, including virtual networks, storage, and identity management. On-Premises & Cloud Infrastructure: Knowledge of hybrid IT environments, managing both on-premises and cloud-based systems. ITIL Framework: Familiarity with ITIL principles and best practices in service delivery.
