Senior Project Manager - Azure experience

Title: Senior Project Manager Rate: Up to £500-£600 per day Inside IR35 Location: Remote, once a month in Reading (potentially optional) Duration: Initially 6 months, intention to be extended to 18 months Start Date: ASAP Clearance Required: Live and active SC Clearance Our leading consultancy client is seeking a talented professional to manage a high-profile public sector technology programme. If you have a strong background in Azure cloud migration and Agile project management, combined with a proven track record in the public sector, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive transformational outcomes for a key government organisation. Key Responsibilities: Lead Azure Cloud Migration Projects: Oversee the full delivery of large-scale Azure cloud migration and adoption projects, ensuring alignment with strategic public sector goals. Cloud Strategy & Execution: Define cloud strategies, lead migration planning, and ensure secure, scalable, and optimised deployments in Azure. Agile Delivery: Implement Agile frameworks to promote adaptability, continuous improvement, and effective project execution. Public Sector Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for senior public sector stakeholders, managing expectations, navigating governance, and ensuring the project adheres to regulatory and compliance standards. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of cloud architects, engineers, and consultants, fostering collaboration and excellence throughout the project lifecycle. What We’re Looking For: Active SC Clearance: You must have live, active SC clearance to be eligible for this role. Azure Cloud Migration Experience: Proven experience in managing complex Azure cloud migration and adoption projects, from initial planning through to execution and optimisation. Expertise in cloud architecture, scalability, and security. Public Sector Experience: Extensive experience working within the public sector, with a strong understanding of its unique challenges, governance, and regulatory requirements. Agile Methodologies: Demonstrable success in delivering complex projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring efficient, adaptive outcomes. Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Strong leadership skills, with experience managing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams in demanding environments.
