Hardware Software Test Engineer – 18-Month Contract (Reading, Onsite 4-5 Days/Week) Are you a hands-on Hardware Software Test Engineer looking for an opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI hardware and automation for a Global Tech Giant ? We are hiring for a device lab oversight role where you'll play a critical part in managing test devices, troubleshooting hardware/software, and optimizing system performance. What You’ll Do: Manage and deploy pre-release/early-release hardware , including laptops with NPUs. Configure UEFI firmware, BIOS, and bootloaders for optimized performance. Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Batch . Conduct AI workload testing with models like ChatGPT, Mistral, Claude AI, and Stable Diffusion . Oversee CI/CD pipelines, Selenium testing, and Git integration . Ensure device lab health , reduce downtime, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Work closely with global teams across multiple time zones. What You Bring: ✅ Strong experience in hardware/software testing and system integration . ✅ Proficiency in scripting & automation for test execution and monitoring. ✅ Hands-on experience with AI model validation and high-performance computing environments . ✅ Familiarity with continuous integration, test frameworks, and collaboration tools . ✅ A problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively.
