DSP Software Engineer European Tech Recruit are working closely with a multinational semicon company, based in Edinburgh, who are looking for a DSP Software Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities as DSP Software Engineer : Design, development, integration, evaluation and verification of DSP audio filters and algorithms. Design, development, integration, and verification of DSP embedded solutions. High-quality design and code delivered within agreed timescales. High-quality tests delivered within agreed timescales. Customer acceptance of Renesas solutions with proven and measurable compliance to specifications. Ability to drive, regulate, and prioritize activities to ensure timescales and goals are met. High-quality technical documentation is complete and maintained. Reduction in code maintenance. Increase in code reuse. Requirements: Knowledge of DSP, MCU, IC, and audio codec architectures. Experience with embedded architectures and real-time embedded software. Knowledge of embedded C/C++ programming with knowledge of DSP algorithm development. Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Good competency in Python and/or MATLAB. Good knowledge and understanding of fixed-point implementation. Good knowledge of software development workflows and working methodologies Clearly report bugs using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA. Things that will make you stand out: Good knowledge and experience in audio, digital filtering, and portable audio applications such as headphones and wireless earbuds. Good experience in optimizing DSP solutions for low footprint, low latency, and low power applications. Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins. Experience using SystemC.
