Role is based in Dubai; UAE (Not a remote role) . The BI tools and Reporting Platform owner will be responsible for managing the platforms across the Bank. These include the BI tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, SAS, in memory databases such as SAP Hana, and other dashboard/reporting tools that are used. This role requires you to be familiar with Bigdata platforms like Hadoop (CDP), Databases (Oracle, Postgres). The role is required to work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders. This role involves ensuring the platforms meet security requirements, are used efficiently by different workloads e.g., applications, data scientists, analytical users. There is also the need to audit and monitor activity. A key part of the role is resource management e.g., working with resource and product vendors scaling to provide resources to meet delivery demand. A key requirement is Servant Leadership, creating an environment where the engineers are empowered and encouraged to grow and build expertise and ownership. Key Tasks:- Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap Financial Management Relationship Management & Leadership Vendor and Risk Management Skills and Experience:- IT based degree University degree Equivalent work experience Data platforms experience in tools such as SAP Hana, Informatica, Hadoop, Ignite, MS BI, SAS and so on. Banking experience is preferable. SME knowledge owner to drive strategic change over time. Technical/Functional: Expertise in architecture, security, software development, software engineering in data platforms. Current experience with contemporary and innovative solutions. The leader must have the knowledge to drive a long-term strategy that will leverage new and emerging technologies. Functional and technical understanding of critical systems and Banking services. Strong understanding to the technical application risks, security, compliance and audit requirements.
