Looking for Desktop Support Speciliast for on-site opportunity in Dunwoody/Atlanta GA. This is fully on-site. Awaiting salary information from client, but will submit market range.
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team.
This onsite role requires a hands-on professional who will provide comprehensive technical
support for our employees, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and related
technology infrastructure. You will support both Windows, Mac and mobile environments, manage
peripherals like printers, WAPs and Zoom Rooms. Additionally, you will be responsible for
supporting the employees (and the equipment that they use) in our Data Centers as well as
employees who may be working remotely. This is an in office position, reporting to our corporate
office in Atlanta, GA. The expectation is that this person will be in the office 5 days a week from 9-5
pm ET.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite technical support for Windows and Mac desktops/laptops, ensuring
optimal performance and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Manage and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other office peripherals.
• Support and maintain Zoom Rooms and related AV equipment, ensuring seamless video
conference experiences.
• Configure and manage wired and wireless networks within our offices, addressing
connectivity and performance issues.
• Offer remote support to employees working from home, resolving connectivity and
system performance issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain various software applications, ensuring compatibility
and compliance with company policies.
• Document, track, and monitor technical issues using the IT ticketing system to ensure a
timely resolution.
• Provide end-user training and guidance on best practices for utilizing IT resources.
• Collaborate with the IT team on system upgrades, network maintenance, and new
technology implementations.
• Perform hardware inventory management and keep records updated.
• Manage Employee Onboarding / Offboarding
• Build, maintain, issue and track employee equipment (laptops, desktops, peripherals)
Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in a mixed Mac and Windows
environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting macOS and Windows operating systems.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting wireless networks and enterprise-level printers.
• Familiarity with Zoom Rooms and AV equipment setup and maintenance.
Experience with ticketing system(s).
