Mid-level Developer – VueJS/Laravel

theRACK, created by eduKUDU is a smart digital publishing platform that creates and manages digital brochures for universities, globally. We’re looking for an experienced VueJS/Laravel Developer to join the development of the platform, working on new features. We’re looking for an ideas person – experienced, but eager to learn, who approaches problems with confidence and is able to translate complex ideas into streamlined, user-friendly solutions. A self-driven person who is able to provide quality solutions within the given guidelines. You’ll have a knack for problem-solving and critical thinking, you’ll be confident to showcase your ideas to the Management and Production Team. You will have experience in testing, component-based architecture and Agile practices. It would be beneficial if you had some experience developing monolith server driven applications – particularly around debugging backend issues (PHP, Laravel), but the front-end (VueJS, JavaScript) and Laravel experience is essential. You will have an opportunity to further your development skills across the stack in a fast paced and challenging environment. Our team is spread out, we have colleagues based in London, Edinburgh, Dorset and The Netherlands so as a company we are comfortable working remotely. However, due to the importance of this role, we will require the successful candidate to meet with us in person for an interview and to also come into the office on a fairly regular basis to discuss ideas and progress. Initially this would be 1-2 days each week, or 2-3 days each fortnight, accommodation would be provided if the applicant is commuting from a long distance.
