Senior Python Engineer

Senior Python Engineer Hybrid - London Eames consulting are delighted to be working with an established bank that are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join the evolving team where you will be designing and developing high performing scalable Python systems. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable Python-based applications. Collaborate with product management and development teams to define and implement technical solutions that meet business objectives. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Identify and address performance bottlenecks and other technical issues. Troubleshoot and debug complex software problems and provide timely solutions. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance and user experience. Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of professional experience in Python software development. Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with expertise in frameworks such as Django or Flask. Solid understanding of database management systems, SQL, and ORM libraries (e.g., SQLAlchemy). Experience with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) is a plus. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Knowledge of banking industry regulations, compliance requirements, and security protocols is advantageous.
