Lead Integration Architect / Solutions Architect (Application & Cloud) Hybrid – 1-2 days per week onsite in South London/Kent £90,000 - £110,000 per annum - potential bonuses Must have or be eligible for UK Security Clearance Digital Skills are partnering with a rapidly growing consultancy and accredited AWS Partner, delivering mission-critical cloud and digital solutions across Government and industry. As demand from Central Government clients increases, we’re helping them expand their senior architecture capability. The Role We’re looking for an expert Lead Integration Architect with deep experience in AWS cloud and application architecture. You’ll be the go-to technical lead across complex digital transformation and integration programmes—defining architecture, assuring delivery, and aligning multi-supplier solutions to strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the design of scalable cloud-native (AWS) application and integration architectures. Provide strategic technical direction and mentorship to client and delivery teams. Ensure end-to-end integration across complex systems, platforms, and suppliers. Conduct technical assurance and governance of cloud and application solutions. Shape technology roadmaps and drive transition planning across cloud and legacy environments. Work closely with commercial and delivery teams to align architecture with business and technical needs. Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and governance standards (e.g. GDPR). Champion architectural best practices and document design decisions and patterns. Skills & Experience 8 years in senior architecture roles, with a strong focus on cloud (AWS) , integration , and application architecture . Proven track record leading large-scale digital transformation and integration initiatives. Deep understanding of API-led integration, microservices, and cloud-native design. Experience in system integration across multi-supplier ecosystems. Strong understanding of secure cloud delivery and regulatory compliance. Skilled in architecture methods and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman). Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences. Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Security Clearance: The role will be primarily working with Government end clients, as such you need to be eligible for Security Clearance. This means that you must be a Permanent UK resident, who has lived in the UK for the last 5 years, continuously.
