Data Modeler

Digital Gurus is partnered with a Tech-For-Good business to recruit a Data Modeler to join its dynamic Data & Reporting team. This role offers the opportunity to drive the design and evolution of the Enterprise Data Model, ensuring products, systems and services are supported by robust, scalable data architectures. The Data Modeler will translate complex business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. While collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to create optimal models. You will define and govern data modelling standards, methodologies, and best practices. Advocating for data governance and communicating data modelling principles to technical and non-technical stakeholders, addressing data anomalies and supporting a data-driven culture. Key skills: Expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, and physical), with the ability to apply industry-recognised standards and patterns. Proficient in at least 1 data modelling tool such as Erwin or ER/Studio . Strong knowledge of dimensional modelling , denormalisation, and relational/transactional databases. Experience in data governance frameworks, data profiling, and management principles. Understanding of business processes and flow of data between different systems. Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate insights effectively, and lead problem-solving initiatives. Familiarity with data architecture and governance frameworks.
