Lead/Senior Data Engineer - Wales, Hybrid - £75,000 - £85,000 Bonus Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to take charge of their data engineering efforts. In this role, you will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and products that are essential for optimising marketing and advertising strategies. You will work closely with various teams to integrate with major advertising platforms, such as Google and Microsoft, to enhance marketing efficiencies and drive ROI. As a leader, you will mentor and guide a team of data engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions that align with the company’s goals. This role demands a strong technical background, particularly in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. What You'll Do Lead the design and development of data pipelines and products that support marketing and advertising strategies. Integrate data workflows with major advertising platforms like Google and Microsoft. Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Optimize and maintain databases, ensuring data quality and performance. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that drive marketing success. Utilize cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) to deploy and manage scalable data solutions. Apply distributed frameworks and event-driven architecture where relevant to enhance data processes. What You'll Bring Extensive experience in data engineering with a focus on designing and scaling data solutions. Strong Python programming skills for developing and automating data workflows. Advanced SQL capabilities for managing databases and optimizing queries. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. Leadership experience with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams. Experience in distributed frameworks and event-driven architecture is a plus.
