Cloud and Infrastructure Operations Lead London Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office £115k - £120k base 20% Benefits Purpose: To manage and oversee the technical and operational aspects of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, availability, and performance. The role strongly focuses on service delivery within a regulated environment and works closely with the Platforms & Infra Manager to coordinate day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Managing Infrastructure Operations: Oversee daily operations across servers, networks, datacenters, cloud services, and other technologies to ensure optimal performance and system configurations. Ensuring Reliability and Availability: Maintain high levels of reliability and availability for critical IT services, which includes implementing redundancy, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. Monitoring and Incident Management: Monitor the health and performance of infrastructure components, promptly responding to incidents to minimize business impact. Capacity Planning and Scaling: Assess current and future infrastructure needs, planning for capacity requirements and scaling resources to support business growth. Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of IT infrastructure with relevant regulatory standards and the organization's IT controls framework. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers to ensure the timely delivery of services and manage vendor relationships effectively. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency enhancements within infrastructure operations. Key Attributes & Requirements: Technical Gravitas: Strong understanding of a Microsoft environment (MS Shop) with experience in VMware stack; transitioning to Microsoft Azure is a key focus area. Operations-Focused Background: Experience in infrastructure management with a solid service delivery focus. The role is more about operations management than hands-on engineering. Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading a dynamic team and managing infrastructure operations. Hybrid Cloud Experience: Familiarity with managing a hybrid IT environment, including experience with data center exits and Azure VMware solutions. Regulatory and Risk Management: Strong background in working within regulated environments and managing risk and control frameworks. Strategic Oversight: Ability to contribute to projects by providing oversight and challenge without being directly hands-on.
