Embedded Software Engineer

Embedded Software Engineer Location: Southampton Salary: Up to £50k Job Type Permanent Our client is seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join their dynamic Agile Scrum team. Reporting to the Head of Software, this role focuses on developing C/C++ code for embedded systems, user interfaces, and desktop applications, while also managing software testing and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and test C/C++ embedded software. Implement system control, video processing, and GUI applications. Ensure software compliance with internal standards and technical documentation. Conduct manual and automated software testing, including full test code coverage. Collaborate with architects, FPGA, and software teams to meet product requirements. Skills & Experience: Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. Experience with communication interfaces (RS232, CAN, RTP, TCP/IP). GUI development using commercial/open-source libraries. Strong testing and documentation skills.
