Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join an existing team building a new strategic big data platform for our client. Minimum 5 years of experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Mesh. The new platform will be an Azure based data lake with APIs and events to allow consumption of data by analytics teams and will replace the existing Oracle and Java stack. This is a multi-year migration project and requirements will include engineering to support the migration of the data mastering from the legacy platform to the new one. Essential experience: Azure Azure Data Factory Databricks Data Mesh architecture experience Purview Python CI/CD Experience working on data platforms Desired: Java Oracle Requirements Person profile: An appreciation and understanding of Agile methodologies, including knowledge of TDD and BDD. Experience working in agile software development teams. Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with other teams and stakeholders. Is a proactive member of the team when it comes to releases and production issues Has familiarity with DevOps/CloudOps.
