Mac and Jamf Engineer

Excellent opportunity for Mac and Jamf Engineer to be part of our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. Cognizant Infrastructure Services – Provides IT infrastructure & Cloud services for clients across industry verticals, including both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, across Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, DevOps, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services and Environment Management Services. Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L3 technical support for macOS and iOS devices within the organization. Utilize Jamf Pro for device management, configuration, and deployment. Develop and maintain bash scripts for automation of system tasks. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues. Offer support to end-users, ensuring high satisfaction and productivity. Collaborate with IT teams to enhance system security and efficiency. Document processes and maintain a knowledge base for IT support. Integrate Microsoft Intune MDM to enforce compliance on Mac computers. Manage printers effectively using scripts in Jamf. Demonstrate a strong knowledge of different Mac OS versions and their functionalities. Role will require shift working from 7 AM to 11 PM UK hours. Proficient in Jamf Pro administration and management. Strong knowledge of bash scripting and command-line tools. Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues. Familiarity with IT support ticketing systems and workflows. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Experience with Intune MDM management and printer management using scripts in Jamf. In-depth understanding of different Mac OS versions and their unique features. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Jamf 200 or higher. Experience with macOS and iOS deployment strategies. Knowledge of networking principles and security protocols.
