Due to security clearance requirements, to be considered for this role you must be a sole British national and have been resident continuously for at least the last 5 years in the UK. The Data Management team is part of our Consultancy Services Group, which has over 65 professionals. The group helps clients in the government and defence sectors with all aspects Digital Transformation from developing their digital and data strategies, through designing and implementing data-centric solutions to supporting business change. We are seeking Senior or Principal Data Governance professionals to continue growth of the data management function and also with a longer term view of succession planning for senior roles in the team. Our projects are varied and include: Defining Data Strategies to enable our clients to realise their vision Performing data management maturity assessments Building business cases to unlock investment in data management Developing data management target operating models, architectures and roadmaps Establishing effective frameworks for data governance, master data management and data quality Regulatory compliance assessments, including data protection Data management and analytics technology assessment and selection Key Responsibilities for the Data Governance Consultant role Work independently or as part of a team to understand the data management capabilities required to satisfy client business goals and objectives, and translate these into appropriate target operating models, architectures and roadmaps Work independently or as part of a team to perform data management maturity assessments and develop recommendations for clients to address deficiencies Work independently or as part of a team to develop client business cases for data management initiatives Work independently or as part of a team to recommend appropriate approaches and frameworks for data governance, master data management and data Work as part of a team to develop the high-level architecture for data-centric business solutions such as single-view (master data management) or insight/analytics solutions Supporting the development of client bids and presentations of proposals Develop trusted relationships with clients to generate further sales opportunities for self and others Essential Skills Data Governance - Experience establishing Data Governance Capabilities from scratch Business Case Development for Data Management Initiatives Data Management Frameworks and Assessments Data Migration Strategy & Implementation Planning Stakeholder engagement skills Business Change Management Experience of working with Central or Local Government Knowledge of established Data Management frameworks and best practice approaches.
