Chronos Energy has partnered with a leading utility infrastructure provider specialising in the development, operation and management of large heat networks across the UK. Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join the team. The Senior Engineer to take a leading role in the design and technical oversight of shared ground loop systems throughout their entire lifecycle from initial concept and feasibility through to design, construction, commissioning, and ongoing operation. Roles and Responsibilities: Delivery of engineering new shared ground loop heat solutions and decarbonising existing systems. Undertaking modelling of the technical and commercial aspects of shared ground loop and individual GSHP plant operations Undertaking site inspections, snagging and witness of commissioning for assets being built ahead of adoption or handover from our contractors Assisting with the development of project budgets and estimates, ensuring designs meet requirements Reviewing design software used in the development of heat network design and implementing Standards and Procedures Skills and Experience: Experience and knowledge with individual heat pumps or centralised ground source heat pumps Knowledge of project management and contract management procedures Excellent communication skills and problem solving Have a good commercial awareness If you are interested please apply
