ERP Application Support

Job Purpose: This position is key to the development of the ERP system to support the company’s ongoing Process Excellence program focused on effectively using technology to optimize and enhance current ways of working. Working under the direction of the]Manager the role will develop, upgrade and enhance systems, reports and database structures across the company’s ERP, OAL and other IT Systems as required for improved data management, analysis and end to end processing driving overall business effectiveness and efficiency. The improvement and enhancement program covers all end to end processes from procurement through to efficient and accurate financial analysis and reporting, with the initial focus around sales forecasting, material requirement planning, production scheduling, bill of material and specification management alongside the integration of the pack house OEE system with Prophet The role will ensure that business users are well-versed with the solution's functionality, whilst offering the needed training and guidance. Key Responsibilities:  Undertake Database development utilizing strong SQL DBA and Crystal Skills  Configure and maintain the Prophet ERP system (specific training will be provided) along with other IT systems as defined within the business  Build knowledge of the existing systems and the new features/functionality required by the business  Play an active role in the development of IT solutions to meet the evolutionary demands of a fast changing business environment  Test software system upgrades and changes to systems, reports and database structures to ensure adherence to customer and internal technical requirements H / JD – Systems Application Developer / January  Ensure all IT related SOPs are up to date and in line with current operating procedures  Set up and maintain interfaces with other systems  Testing and management of EDI interfaces with customers and suppliers  Carry out training as required to ensure that all users are effectively trained and operating to the latest SOPs when using ERP, OAL or other IT Systems. PERSON SPECIFICATION Job Title: System Application Developer Qualifications:  Educated to national QCF level 5 with a relevant degree in an IT discipline or relevant. Experience with Prophet 3.0 or above desirable. Work Experience:  Minimum 3 years working in IT or ERP role with exposure to, SQL DBA responsibilities utilizing solid SQL programming skills  Experience with designing and developing new application features from a business objective in a manufacturing environment.  Good Crystal Report design experience  Understanding of programming languages e.g. VBScript, CSS, WordPress, PHP  Prophet ERP experience would be nice to have, however full system training will be supplied  A thorough understanding and operational experience of systems software testing, application and upgrading.  Understanding of food manufacturing / supply chain processes
